Srinagar, May 03 (Scoop News)-Under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police across the region have stepped up efforts to curb drug abuse and trafficking through a combination of strict enforcement and preventive initiatives. In Ganderbal, a urine drug screening drive has been conducted to enable early detection and rehabilitation while in Shopian, authorities are seeking public assistance to trace an absconding accused in an NDPS case.
In Ganderbal, police, in collaboration with a dedicated medical team, carried out a urine drug screening initiative aimed at identifying substance abuse at an early stage. The initiative focuses on timely intervention, counselling, and rehabilitation, and was conducted in a professional and confidential manner, ensuring the dignity and privacy of all individuals.
Meanwhile in Shopian, Police have issued a public notice requesting citizens to share any information regarding the whereabouts of an absconding accused involved in a case registered under the NDPS Act at Police Station Shopian. Despite sustained efforts, the accused has evaded arrest. The identity of informers will be kept strictly confidential, and legal action will be taken against anyone found harbouring or assisting the accused.
