Jammu, June 14 (Scoop News)-Stating that women-led enterprises are becoming powerful engines of social transformation, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge, J&K BJP, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for 'Vocal for Local' has evolved into a people's movement. He said that platforms like the Summer Lifestyle Fest enable our artisans, self-help groups and women entrepreneurs to showcase their talent and become active contributors to the economy and build an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He said that exhibitions are social movements that empower and revive confidence in indigenous enterprise.
Dr. Pardeep expressed these views after going around different stalls exhibiting indigenous products on the concluding day of the Summer Lifestyle Fest, organized by Mega Power Services at Trikuta Nagar Extension, Jammu, with the majority of them being managed and displayed by women.
He was accompanied by party spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan and Media Co-Convenor Sanjay Bakshi. The organizers, Rajesh Dogra and Divya, along with their family members, were also present during the occasion.
BJP leaders interacted with exhibitors, entrepreneurs, members of self-help groups, and local artisans, who had put up stalls showcasing a variety of indigenous products. They appreciated the efforts of the organizers in creating a vibrant platform that celebrated local talent, encouraged entrepreneurship, and strengthened the spirit of self-reliance.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that the fest effectively reinforced the national vision of "Vocal for Local" while also serving as a meaningful initiative towards women's empowerment by providing them an opportunity to display and market their products. He said that such exhibitions provide women direct market access, encourage financial independence and inspire many others to transform their skills into sustainable livelihoods.
Sanjay Bakshi, highlighting the significance of public engagement with local businesses for locally produced quality goods, said that the overwhelming response from visitors reflected a growing preference.
Rajesh Dogra, expressing gratitude, thanked all stall owners, artisans, entrepreneurs, visitors and the guests who contributed to the success of the Summer Lifestyle Fest. He thanked BJP leaders for encouraging the efforts of local entrepreneurs.
