Jammu, June 14 (Scoop News)- The On Wheel Cartoon Exhibition, being organized as part of the ongoing efforts to support the vision of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha for a drug-free and healthy Jammu & Kashmir, successfully completed its ninth day today in Jammu High Five Marathon in Jammu. The exhibition was held at Bahu Plaza, Jammu where a large number of citizens had gathered to participate in a health awareness marathon, creating a unique platform to promote both physical well-being and social awareness.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of all age groups. While marathon participants highlighted the importance of fitness and healthy living, the cartoon exhibition reinforced the message of staying away from drug abuse and adopting positive life values. Together, these activities reflected the growing commitment of society towards building a healthier and more aware Jammu & Kashmir.
A major attraction of the day was the visit of Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shri Ramesh Kumar (IAS), DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shri Shridhar Patil (IPS), and SSP Jammu, Shri Joginder Singh (JKPS). The dignitaries visited the exhibition and carefully viewed the cartoons displayed on various social themes.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shri Ramesh Kumar highly appreciated the exhibition and described cartoons as an effective and powerful medium for creating social awareness. He emphasized that such exhibitions should be taken to different parts of Jammu so that a larger section of society can benefit from the messages being conveyed through art. He also stressed the importance of wider publicity through media platforms, stating that the awareness generated through these creative efforts should reach every household and inspire people, especially the youth, to stay away from social evils and contribute towards a better society.
DIG Shri Shridhar Patil and SSP Jammu Shri Joginder Singh also appreciated the initiative and acknowledged the role of creative campaigns in educating and engaging the public on important social issues.
For the past several days, the On Wheel Cartoon Exhibition has been travelling across different locations, using the language of art and satire to communicate messages related to drug de-addiction, social responsibility, youth empowerment and healthy living. Visitors including students, young people, women and senior citizens showed keen interest in the exhibition and appreciated its unique approach towards public awareness.
The exhibition continues to serve as a meaningful platform where art meets social responsibility, encouraging dialogue, reflection and positive action. With growing public participation and support from the administration, the campaign is steadily expanding its reach and strengthening the message of a healthier, aware and drug-free Jammu & Kashmir. |
