Chief Secretary reviews beautification and development work of Stok Model Village

Leh, June 17 (Scoop News)-Chief Secretary, UT Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, chaired a meeting to review the beautification and development works of the Stok Model Village.

During the meeting, various proposed projects aimed at enhancing the village's infrastructure and tourism potential were discussed in detail.

These included remodelling and upgradation of the existing water storage tank, development of a vehicle pass and tiling works, construction of a welcome/entrance gate, upgradation of the existing circular road, and construction of a cafeteria at the Stok viewpoint.

The meeting also deliberated on the general cost estimates and abstracts prepared for the overall beautification of Stok village.

Emphasizing the importance of sustainable and planned development, the Chief Secretary stressed the need for proper sewage assessment, development of designated garbage points, effective water body management, and installation of signage at necessary locations to improve civic amenities and visitor experience.

The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner, Shurbir Singh; Administrative Secretary, RDD, Nidhi Malik; Administrative Secretary, PWD, Bhupesh Chaudhary; Administrative Secretary, GAD, Rudra Goud, along with other concerned officials.
