Administrative Secretary, PWD Visits Hunder–Dok Road Project of PMGSY to Review Progress

Nubra, June 28 (Scoop News)- The Administrative Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD), UT Ladakh, Shri Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, IAS, today visited the Hunder–Dok Road project under PMGSY to review the progress of the ongoing work.

He was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Shri Mukul Beniwal, IAS; the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Shri Jigmet Rabtan, JKAS; the Superintending Engineer, R&B Department; Executive Engineers; and other concerned officers.

During the inspection, the Administrative Secretary interacted with the Numbardars and local residents to obtain first-hand feedback on the progress of the project and to understand the issues and concerns of the area. He directed the concerned officers and the executing agency to expedite the pace of work while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and timely completion of the project.

The Administrative Secretary emphasized that the Hunder–Dok Road is an important connectivity project that will significantly improve accessibility and enhance socio-economic development in the region. He instructed the executing agency to maintain close coordination with the local administration and resolve any on-site issues promptly to avoid delays.

It is pertinent to mention that Hunder Dok village is expected to be connected by a fair-weather road within the next 15 days, providing much-needed road connectivity to the residents and improving access to essential services.
