Nubra, July 04 (Scoop News)-In compliance with the directions of the UT Administration and under the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, the Block Development Officer (BDO), Turtuk, conducted a special enforcement drive across the Turtuk market area to ensure the effective implementation of the ban on single-use plastics.
During the drive, inspections were carried out to check the use, sale, storage and distribution of banned single-use plastic items. Fine was imposed on violators found using or selling prohibited plastic products, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
The enforcement team also created awareness among shopkeepers and the general public about the Government's ban on single-use plastics and emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly and sustainable alternatives.
