Kargil, July 16 (Scoop News)-Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Haji Mohd Haneefa Jan, today chaired a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) for the year 2026–27 at the Conference Hall, Baroo, Kargil.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Sh. Rakesh Kumar, IAS; Hon’ble Councillor LAHDC Kargil, Sh. Feroz Ahmed Khan; Civil Society Representative, Sh. Ghulam Rasool Naqvi; Senior Citizen Representative, Haji Gulzar Hussain; ST Representative, Sh. Mohd Ismail Waziri; Youth Representative, Sh. Shamim; Chief Planning Officer Kargil; along with other committee members and district officers.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner/CEO presented a detailed overview of the implementation status of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and flagship programmes in the district. Key schemes reviewed included Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Awas Yojana (Urban and Grameen), Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban and Grameen), Viksit Bharat–GRAMIN Abhiyan, PM Surya Ghar Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, PM Jan Arogya Yojana, National Health Mission, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM SVANidhi, Kisan Credit Card, Poshan 2.0, PMGSY, and Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture, among others.
The Chair directed the PHE Department to furnish block-wise lists of Jal Jeevan Mission schemes to the DISHA Committee members for effective monitoring. The Rural Development Department, Municipal Committee Kargil, and other concerned departments were instructed to submit beneficiary lists of all flagship and CSS schemes. The Executive Engineer, PMGSY, was also directed to provide detailed reports of ongoing and completed works under the scheme.
Emphasizing awareness, the Chair instructed departments including Health, Horticulture, Fisheries, and Rural Development to ensure wide publicity of all flagship and CSS schemes so that the general public remains well-informed.
The Chair further directed all implementing departments and executing agencies to ensure timely saturation of scheme targets within the stipulated timeline for the current financial year.
