Kargil, August 09 (Scoop News)-As part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign 2026, being observed from 9th to 17th August 2026, the Tourism Department, Kargil today organised a special Tiranga Rangoli Making Session at the Tourist Facilitation Centre, Kargil, to celebrate the spirit of patriotism, national unity and pride in the Tricolour.
The Rangoli was creatively crafted by the talented artists of Team Stringmo, Kargil, Ladakh, using smooth stone pebbles sourced from the Suru River. The naturally textured stones were artistically arranged in the colours of the National Flag, creating a distinctive representation of the Tiranga and the Ashoka Chakra.
The unique artwork beautifully brings together patriotism, local artistic talent and the natural heritage of Kargil, giving a distinctly local expression to the nationwide spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga.
The Tiranga Rangoli has been kept on public display at the Tourist Facilitation Centre, Kargil, offering citizens, tourists and visitors an opportunity to witness and appreciate this artistic tribute to the Tricolour—the enduring symbol of India’s freedom, unity, sacrifice and national pride.
Through this initiative, the Tourism Department has sought to celebrate the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga while showcasing the creativity, artistic traditions and patriotic fervour of Kargil and Ladakh. |
