CEC Gyalson and MP JTN and calls on LG Mathur at Raj Niwas
Leh (Ladakh), January 13 (Scoop News)-The Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson and Member Parliament Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal called on Hon’ble Lt. Governor Shri Radha Krishna Mathur to discuss issues and projects in the Union Territory of Ladakh and Leh district at Raj Niwas today.
MP JTN and CEC Gyalson thanked LG Mathur for his kind consideration in conducting first Zanskar Winter Sports & Youth Festival 2020-21. They requested LG Mathur’s intervention in earliest formulation and publication of recruitment rules for different departments in UT Ladakh saying that the educated unemployed youths of Ladakh are eagerly waiting for jobs with high expectation after formation of UT Ladakh.
CEC Gyalson and MP JTN also requested for provision of financial incentives for the tourism sector/small business units and waiving-off the commercial loans and apprised LG Mathur that the tourism industry/small business units of Ladakh have been hardest and fastest hit by Covid-19 pandemic. They said that Tourism industry in Ladakh is on the brink of collapse unless the government rescues it through a relief package and demanded waiving off all types of commercial loans for Tourism industry/small business units, re-imbursement of the state component of the GST and Banks to provide OD/CC/Loan with longer moratoriums and interest free working of existing and new loans and requested LG Mathur’s intervention in granting of economic relief package for the tourism industry of Ladakh from GoI in line with economic package recently announced by LG of J&K Manoj Sinha for J&K UT in a bid to boost tourism and other sectors impacted by COVID-19 pandemic.
MP JTN and CEC Gyalson also requested Hon’ble LG Mathur for granting a state award to marathoner SPO Jigmet Dolma for representing India at an international sports events and making UT Ladakh proud. They also requested LG Mathur for giving direct promotion to SPO Jigmet Dolma in Ladakh Police and and also put down various issues and concerns in a memorandum winch includes:
• Demand of districts creations in UT Ladakh.
• Creation of various posts and absorption of contractual daily wagers and casual labourers engaged in various departments in Union Territory of Ladakh.
• Constitutionals amendments in the hill councils.
• Establishment of Board Pharmacy Council in UT Ladakh.
• Transferring of Stakna Hydral project to LREDA.
• Black-topping of Wanla - Lingshed road via Singhey-la under SDP and various other concerns in the region.
• Network coverage/connectivity of different villages.
• Need for universal coverage of all the villages through 4G connectivity.
• Formulation of new industrial policy for Ladakh to empower the local entrepreneurs.
• Creations of posts of Dental Surgeons in various hospital/Health Centre in Leh.
• Re-organization/creation of posts in various engineering, departments: creation of Hydraulic circle, additional division of PHE and Irrigation department and two sub-divisions for electric maintenance division in PDD. Similarly, creation of Mechanical Hydraulic Division of PHE and Irrigation and Flood Control and Confirmation of Service of all engineers.
• Introduction of different subjects at higher secondary/college/university level.
• Connecting Changthang region with Northern Grid
• Allotment of land and devising housing schemes and grant for poor families of UT Ladakh.
