Srinagar, May 01 (Scoop News)- In a major and coordinated offensive against the drug menace, Police in Baramulla, Handwara and Shopian districts intensified their crackdown on illicit poppy cultivation, destroying illegal crops and initiating legal action in multiple cases.
In Baramulla, acting on credible information, police uncovered illegal poppy cultivation in the Pinjoora area on land belonging to Bashir Ahmad Malik. Following due legal procedures, FIR No. 53/2026 was registered.
