Leh, May 24 (Scoop News)-The fifth day of the ongoing Ladakh Astro Week witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, astronomy enthusiasts and local residents as the programme featured expert talks in the Ladakhi language, interactive sessions and a memorable stargazing experience.
The day’s programme commenced with an insightful talk by Stanzin Norlha, Engineer at BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre), who spoke on the solar system and explained various aspects of planets, stars and other celestial bodies in a simple and engaging manner.

Leh, May 23 (Scoop News)-Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD), conducted an inspection of the ongoing Chilling–Kaya–Markha–Hankar Road project in Markha Valley, being executed under the State Development Plan (SDP). The road project, spanning a total length of 39.85 kilometres, is aimed at strengthening connectivity and improving accessibility in the remote region.
During the inspection, the Secretary was informed that the project has been divided into two components. The first component comprises the upgradation of an existing 23-kilometre road stretch, while the remaining portion involves the construction of a new road alignment.
