| Humanity welfare organization for stop issuance of fake disability certificates | | Srinagar, February 21 (Scoop News)-A meeting was held in directorate of health services Kashmir regarding stoppage of fake disability certificates and designating doctors for singing prosthetic aid forms as well as railway concession forms in favour of persons with disabilities.
In a statement, Javed Ahmad Tak Honorary chairman Humanity welfare organisation HELPLine. Bijbehara explained the miseries of persons with disabilities while seeking Education in local Educational institutions and reaching out to community at independent level. Persons with orthopedic disabilities are carried in laps to reach schools and their problems in accessing washrooms, class rooms, laborotary and library facilities.
He said that after facing hurdles and humiliations the students with disabilities complete education with low percentage of marks. The students with disabilities are dependent on their care takers and sometimes caretakers deny to accompany students with disabilities to schools because of harsh weather, because of personal reasons of caretaker and On contrary persons having no disabilities but having high approach in administrator/politics / or someone in health department manages 40% disability certificate in hearing or visual disabilities and grab the benifit of reservation and scholarships. There are no schooling facilities for students with blindness and for those who are deaf and mute. Still a huge number of persons claim to be persons with disabilities showing certificates of disability and seeking maximum jobs under visual and hearing categories. Thus mar the rights of those persons with disabilities who have been to schools but having no special Educators, no accessible teaching learning material available there. Only with the help of parental support and after crossing flood of challenges these children with disabilities get their Education completed. At the age of 40 persons with disabilities lose their parental support and the survival again becomes a challenge. A job under reserved quota can only help the persons with disabilities to live a dignified life.
Statement alleges that a doctor, a clerk in department of health, a parent who manages disability certificate for his non disable son or daughter don’t know that a real disable person dies thousands of times in a single day. There is need for collective efforts to stop the leaks in issuing disability certificates. Seeking job or managing job against fake disability certificate by a non disable person is cheating and no religion allows to cheat a disable and take away his livelihood, Javed Ahmad Tak explained before director health services Kashmir
Dr Sameer Matoo Director Health Services Kashmir gave patient hearing and agreed to take strong steps for the stoppage of issuance of disability certificates in favour of non disable persons. Director on spot issued orders for formulating an investigation committee which will visit all districts to check the leaks in issuing disability certificates and strengthening the honest functioning of medical boards issuing disability certificates. Validation of disability certificates will be mandatory by authentic officers, and all the signatories shall ensure their identity on the disability certificates so that non seriousness in issuing disability certificates in favour of non disable persons is pointed out and expelled out, Director Health services Kashmir added.
