| YDC inaugurated at Anantnag | | Anantnag/Srinagar,December 31 (Scoop News) – District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Jaipal Singh with DIG South Kashmir Range, S.A. Watali inaugurated first Youth Development Cell (YDC) at Range Police Headquarters, Anantnag. The YDC has been established to guide and assist the youth about the matters of employment, self employment or taking loans from various financial institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated the J&K Police for establishment of a youth development cell, which will work for the betterment of youth of the society under overall control of DIG South Range.
The DDC asked the youth to come forward and take full advantage of the employment oriented programmes to set up their units and also provide employment opportunities to other youth.
The DIG on this occasion said that youth clubs have been framed at Police Station levels in every district and all these clubs have been connected with this YDC. He stressed upon the officers to work with more zeal and dedication and make full awareness among the people about various state and centrally sponsored employment oriented schemes.
Besides, SSP Anantnag, SSP Kulgam, SSP Awantipora, senior citizens and youth club members were also present on the occasion.
