Yuva Sangam Phase-IV: VNIT Nagpur delegation arrives for 6-day tour to Kashmir


Srinagar, May 21 (Scoop News)- As part of the Yuva Sangam program launched under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative, a delegation of 52 members from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur, Maharashtra, arrived on Monday at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar.



The delegation of 52 members, including students and faculty members, arrived at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar campus on Monday, 20th May. They will stay in the Valley until 26th May.

After a warm reception, a comprehensive orientation program was conducted by NIT Srinagar for VNIT students and faculty members. It was aimed to provide essential information and guidance about the do's and don'ts for the weeklong exposure tour.



The event was graced by Director National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar Director Prof. A. Ravinder Nath and Institute's Registrar, Prof. Aatikur Rehman, Dean Alumni and International Affairs Prof. Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, Dean P&D Dr. Yashwant Mehta and other dignitaries.



During the tour, the delegation is expected to visit historical places in Kashmir. They will also learn about the culture and traditions of the people in the region.



Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Rout, Dr. Mohd Mohsin Khan, Dr. Nitika Kundan are the Nodal Officers, Dr Mohd Rafiq Teli is Public Relation Officer, Dr Pankaj Kumar is Social Media Officer and Dr Janani L is Faculty Coordinator of Yuva Sangam Phase-IV NIT Srinagar.



NIT Srinagar is collaborating with Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur, Maharashtra, as a paired institution for this program.



In the Yuva Sangam phase IV, the participants from the paired institutes will be exchanged under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) campaign of the Ministry of Education.



Under this exchange programme, participants were given opportunity for multi-dimensional exposure under five broad areas 5 Ps i.e. Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Prodyogik (Technology), and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect).
