| EC Mehdi inaugurates 4G mobile tower at Umla village | |
Leh, November22 (Scoop News)-The Hon’ble Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor, inaugurated a 4G BSNL mobile tower at Umla village today.
The inaugural event was attended by Mandal President Cap. Sonam Morup; Vice Mandal President Phunchok Wangdus; AGM, BSNL, Kale Rajesh Gangadar; SD Electrical, Manesh Hankar; contractor besides other BSNL officials and the Nambardar of Umla and local villagers.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Executive Councillor congratulated the people of Umla on the inauguration of the 4G tower and emphasized the importance of mobile connectivity in today’s digital age.
He encouraged the villagers to make positive use of the enhanced connectivity and assured them of his commitment to addressing local infrastructure needs, including the road upgradation under the PMGSY scheme with the concerned department.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Government of India under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and also urged the BSNL Leh to expedite the remaining tower installations in other villages.
Mandal President Cap. Sonam Morup thanked LAHDC Leh and BSNL for facilitating the launch of the mobile tower in Umla. He highlighted the significant benefits, particularly for students, who will now have access to better connectivity.
The Nambardar of Umla extended heartfelt thanks to LAHDC Leh and BSNL for their efforts in bringing mobile connectivity to the village. He reiterated the need for road upgradation under PMGSY to further enhance the village’s infrastructure.
The mobile tower has been installed by BSNL under the 4G Saturation Project of the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF).
