YV Sharma demands central Mother Project for manufactured items in UT in the Gem Portal | | Jammu, December 21 (Scoop News)- BJP leaders today said various Governments gave various types of incentive packages to bring J&K State on the Industrial map of the country . Y.V. Sharma, accompanied by party spokespersons- Balbir Ram Rattan and Purnima Sharma in a press conference said that due to geographical and topographical reasons of the state they always remained development deficit. But after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the central govt headed by PM Narendra Modi great efforts were made to make JK UT a model of industrial development in the country. As basic infrastructure is the connectivity of the state this sector was given great priority.
A package of rupees 32400 crore was given in 2021and the Lt. Governor of the UT Manoj Sinha worked 24× 7 to connect every village, every town and every neglected urban area to the main highways. Tunnels, bridges, roads and highways were constructed at the fastest possible speed. The railway line between Delhi and Kashmir valley is almost going to be made operative. He went on to say that the Modi Govt has made the JK UT a strong launching pad for further development of Trade and Industry.
Sharma clarified that due to development deficit for a long time, the UT now requires a handsome incentive package for speedy development in the sector. He complemented the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha who has already recommended an incentive package of rupees 75000 crore to the Union Govt.
Outlining the urgent need to develop more Ware Houses, shopping centers and Business Complexes and number of retail shops in every nook and corner of the JK UT especially in far-flung villages, Sharma expected the newly formed Govt of UT to make all efforts to make all this a reality. Outlining unemployment, Sharma demanded the setting up of some Central Mother Industries which can employ and develop acclimatization and can go a long way in bringing prosperity in the UT. He also demanded that efforts should be made to develop New Industries and all the products from the industries in the UT should be made obligatorily purchasable from the Gem portal ... |
