A Journey of Discovery: Kashmiri Youth Explore the Rich Heritage of North Bihar.
Bihar, January 06 (Scoop News)-The Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program 2024-25, a significant initiative aimed at building national integration and cultural understanding, was formally inaugurated at BRA Bihar University. Organized under the auspices of the Nehru Yuva Kendra with the evocative slogan "Know Your Nation" the program will see approximately 150 students and accompanying teachers from the Kashmir Valley embark on a six-day journey of discovery, immersing themselves in the rich cultural and historical tapestry of North Bihar.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest, Vice Chancellor of BRA Bihar University, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, eloquently described Kashmir as the crown jewel of India, emphasizing the enduring and profound historical ties that have bound the region to the heart of the nation. While acknowledging past attempts to disrupt these harmonious relations, Professor Rai underscored the resilience of India's diverse cultural fabric, which has consistently thwarted such divisive forces. VC Prof. Rai further emphasized the critical role of Kashmir's rapid integration into the national mainstream, asserting that the development of this cherished region is inextricably linked to the overall progress of the nation. Prof. Rai proclaimed that the prosperity of Kashmir will serve as a beacon, illuminating the path to national prosperity, for indeed, a radiant and flourishing Kashmir will cast its resplendent glow upon the entire nation. Addressing the Kashmiri youth, Prof. Rai highlighted the inherent self-respect that characterizes the people of Bihar and their unwavering commitment to preserving and nurturing their rich cultural heritage. He expressed fervent hope that this unique program would serve as a catalyst for the Kashmiri youth to gain a deeper appreciation for the captivating culture and illustrious history of North Bihar.
The Principal of Langat Singh College, Prof. Om Prakash Roy, in his address, drew attention to the remarkable confluence of similarities that bind the people of Bihar and Kashmir. He underscored the indomitable spirit of both societies, their unwavering ability to overcome adversity and emerge victorious. Prof. Roy fervently advocated for the cultivation of robust cultural ties between these two vibrant states, emphasizing the mutual benefits that such an endeavor would undoubtedly yield. He expressed optimism that Bihar and Kashmir, united in their shared aspirations, will play a pivotal role in propelling India towards its destiny as a developed nation by the year 2047.
Prior to the formal inauguration, the Kashmiri youth embarked on a captivating exploration of Langat Singh College, their senses captivated by the awe-inspiring historical heritage and the resplendent architectural marvels that adorn the campus. The ancient edifices, the hallowed halls of the library, and the myriad other facilities of this esteemed college left an indelible mark upon the young minds. During their exploration, the youth were privileged to learn about the momentous arrival of Mahatma Gandhi at the college during the epochal Champaran Satyagraha, and the historic meetings that unfolded within these hallowed grounds.
The program witnessed the esteemed presence of several dignitaries, including Registrar Dr. Aparajita Krishna, the esteemed State Head of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mr. S.P. Singh, and the eminent litterateur, Mr. Basudev Prasad Singh. The District Youth Officer, Ms. Rashmi Singh, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, while Mr. Manish Kumar gracefully delivered the vote of thanks. The occasion was further graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Harinarayan Bhardwaj, Prof. Sanjeev Mishra, Prof. Pushpa Kumari, Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Dilip Kumar Yadav, Dr. Shashikant Pandey, Dr. Navin Kumar, Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Rishi Kumar, and other distinguished personalities.
