Kargil, February 08 (Scoop News)-AN-32 Kargil Courier service commenced from today for this winter season.
On this occasion Indian Airforce Crew was welcomed by Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Agha Syed Mujtaba, Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Kacho Mohd Feroz on behalf of LAHDC Kargil as well as by Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Deputy Superintendent of Police HQ Nitin Yadav.
Executive Councillors as well as Deputy Commissioner appreciated the support provided by Indian Air Force for the Kargil courier service during winter seasons which is very helpful for the needy passengers especially old age as well as those availing medical treatment in Jammu and Srinagar and also student community.
At Srinagar the AN-32 aircraft crew was received by Chief Coordinator, Kargil Courier Service Aamir Ali along with officers from Airport Authority, CISF, Station Manager AIASL, Laison Officer and Assistant Laison Officer.
On the first day, 12 civilian passengers travelled from Srinagar to Kargil and 12 passengers from Kargil to Srinagar.
Later, the DC along with DySP HQ inspected all the arrangements at Kargil airport like security, frisking, ticket checking counters, luggage scanning, boarding & other arrangements and instructed all concerned officials to ensure smooth management of Kargil Courier service.
DC interacts with Students of Govt High School, Visits Pottery Centres and Likir Monastery; Reviews Various Developmental Projects
Leh, Ladakh,February 08 (Scoop News)- Shri Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Leh, conducted an extensive tour of Likir Village today, engaging with the local community and reviewing developmental projects. The visit included interactions with students at Govt. High School, Likir, during the closing ceremony of their six-week winter tuition program, as well as visits to pottery centres and Likir Monastery.
The ceremony at Govt. High School, Likir, held at 11:00 AM, was attended by students, parents, and community leaders. Esteemed guests included Hon'ble Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Saspol Constituency, Sh. Smanla Dorje Nurboo; Superintending Engineer, R&B Leh, Sh. Dorjey Gyatso; Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Likir, Shri Sajjad Hussain; Lt. Colonel Shri Tundup Wangyal (Retired), Zila Sainik Welfare Officer; and representatives from the R&B and Revenue Departments. Village Nambardar, Ex-Sarpanch, President and members of Lhukhil Gonyul Thundel Tsogspa, Village Education Committee members, teachers, and students also participated in the event.
Shri Sukhadeve interacted with students and parents to assess the needs of the school and identify areas for improvement. Following a traditional welcome and a vibrant cultural program presented by the students, he shared his personal journey and encouraged students to consider careers in public administration. He emphasized the importance of integrating technology into education and career development across diverse fields. The interactive session fostered a dynamic exchange between the Deputy Commissioner and the students, who posed insightful questions.
Hon'ble Councillor, Saspol, Sh. Smanla Dorje Nurboo delivered the concluding remarks, highlighting ongoing development initiatives in Likir, including improvements at the high school and within the broader community. He urged students and parents to maximize the resources available through government schools.
Following the ceremony, Shri Sukhadeve toured several local project sites, including the New Community Hall, the New Museum at Likir Gonpa, the New Craft Village Centre, and the Circular Road at Kharyok. He also visited the homes of local artisans practicing the famous Traditional Likir Pottery, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and support.
The visit concluded with a review of various developmental projects in the village, underscoring the administration’s commitment to fostering growth and preserving local heritage.
