| Police arrests 02 drug peddlers in Srinagar, contraband substances recovered | |
Srinagar, February 09 (Scoop News)-Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Srinagar Police has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police team of Police Station Nishat at a checkpoint established at Pahloo Brain, intercepted 02 suspicious persons who on seeing the police party tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully. During search, substantial quantity of narcotics was recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Nadeem Qadir Chopan so of Ghulam Qadir Chopan & Ahmad Badri son of Mohammad Ismail Reshi both residents of Pahloo Brein.
Both accused persons have been arrested & a case vide FIR No. 08/2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Nishat and further investigation has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
