| ADC Leh Reviews Arrangements for Eid-Ul-Fitr Celebrations | |
Leh, March 25 (Scoop News)- The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Ghulam Mohd (JKAS) convened a meeting to review the arrangements for the celebration of the upcoming festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr in the district with Head of Departments and Head of Religious Organisations.
During the meeting, representatives from religious organisations raised concerns about parking space on the day of Namaz at various locations, power supply and water supply at Nubra region, provision of fresh vegetables and essential commodities and other concerns.
To address the issues, ADC Leh assured the religious leaders that he will take up the matter of power supply and water supply at Nubra with SDM Nubra. He also instructed concerned departmental officers to ensure smooth celebrations without hindrances, providing necessary arrangements for traffic regulation and provision of essential services like drinking water and electricity without any interruption.
The district administration will also offer essential commodities through Cooperative Department at its retail outlets during the festive season. ADC Leh instructed Departmental officers to ensure their respective services are provided to the public for a successful celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Leh, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Society Leh, Assistant Director FCS&CA Leh, and officials from other departments, as well as presidents of Anjuman Moin-Ul-Islam, Anjuman Imamia, and Anjuman Sofia Noorbakshia.
