T.W A urges DIG Jammu, SSP Jammu to remove Tobacco products from open market


Jammu, April 12 (Scoop News)- Teacher's Welfare Association President, Mr Jasmeet Singh Madaan has urged DIG Jammu, Mr Shiv Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police, Joginder Singh, Jammu to review existing guidelines governing display of Tobacco products across grocery and provision stores to prevent any adverse effect on the mind of the children.
Mr Madaan, while referring to the habit of kids visiting these shops for purchase of daily use items claimed if Tobacco products and their advertisements are placed prominently in these stores the kids may fall prey and become addicted to these Tobacco products at a very tender age.
In this regard, it is being urged to Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jammu Kathua range Mr Shiv Kumar Sharma and SSP Jammu, Mr Joginder Singh, who are in the forefront to curb the menace of drug trafficking to get all these tobacco products removed from these stores located particularly in and around schools to prevent youngsters from falling in the trap.
