District Administration of Kargil distributes ration among drivers/helpers of stranded vehicles

Kargil, February 01 (Scoop News)- On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner/ CEO-LAHDC, Kargil, ration was distributed among drivers and helpers of various vehicles stranded in Kargil Town on account of the inclement weather.

The exercise was supervised by Additional Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Imteeaz Kacho with the help of District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO) and staff of DDMA.

Kacho visited Shiliktchey where the stranded vehicles are currently parked. The Police personnel manning the entry post in Shiliktchey also extended full support and assistance during the distribution of ration.

Kacho interacted with the drivers and helpers and expressed gratitude for their service. While appreciating their patience, he assured that the heavy vehicles would be allowed to proceed towards Kashmir (J&K) once the weather clears up and the condition of the National Highway improves.
Condolence meeting held in memory of Late Dr Rozi Jeelani

Srinagar: A condolence meeting (Majlis-e-Ta‘ziyat) was held on Saturday at the Community Hall, Elahibagh, Srinagar, in memory of Late Dr. Rozi Jeelani, Medical Officer, Health Services, who passed away in Mecca Mukarramah while performing Umrah.

Late Dr. Rozi Jeelani, wife of Dr. Rouf Jeelani, Senior Dental Surgeon, Health Services, was remembered as a compassionate and dedicated medical professional whose services to the community earned her immense respect and admiration. Her demise has left the medical fraternity and society at large in deep mourning.

The condolence meeting was attended by a large number of relatives, friends, colleagues from the Health Department, senior officials, social figures, and members of the public. Attendees expressed heartfelt condolences and paid glowing tributes to the departed soul, recalling her humility, professional integrity, and lifelong commitment to patient care.

During the meeting, special prayers were offered for the maghfirah of Late Dr. Rozi Jeelani. The gathering prayed that Almighty Allah grants her the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, accepts her Umrah, and bestows Sabr-e-Jameel upon the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

The family of the deceased conveyed their sincere gratitude to all those who attended the condolence meeting and stood by them in this time of grief. They also thanked well-wishers for their prayers, messages of support, and solidarity.

The condolence meeting concluded in an atmosphere of solemnity and collective remembrance, reflecting the deep respect and affection Late Dr. Rozi Jeelani commanded throughout her life.
