| Police Solves 03 Theft Cases In Budgam, Accused Arrested | | Property Worth Lakhs Recovered |
Srinagar, March 24 (Scoop News)- In a significant breakthrough, Police in Budgam have solved three theft cases, arrested the accused, and recovered stolen property worth approximately ₹6 lakhs.
Police Station Budgam had received multiple complaints regarding theft incidents over the past few months. Accordingly, FIR Nos. 31/2026, 34/2026, and 50/2026 were registered, and investigation were initiated.
During the investigation, analysis of CCTV footage and technical evidence led to the identification and arrest of the accused persons. During sustained questioning, they confessed to their involvement in multiple thefts from residential houses. Based on their disclosure, stolen items including copper utensils, electronic gadgets, and other household goods were recovered. Subsequently, all the accused were arrested and are currently in police custody.
Further investigation is underway to determine their involvement in other cases.
Police urge citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
