| Sudhanshu Dhama assumes charge as SSP Ganderbal | |
Srinagar, April 05 (Scoop News)- Sudhanshu Dhama-IPS formally assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal yesterday (Saturday) during a dignified ceremonial function held at District Police Headquarters Ganderbal.
The customary handing over of charge took place between the outgoing SSP Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS), and the incoming SSP Shri Sudhanshu Dhama (IPS). On his arrival, the new SSP was accorded a warm welcome by senior officers of District Police Ganderbal and was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour. During the brief yet impressive function, the outgoing SSP formally handed over the baton to the incoming SSP, symbolizing a smooth and professional transition of command.
Soon after assuming charge, the incumbent officer impressed upon officers to work with zeal, zest and dedication to mitigate the problems faced by the general public. He also stressed the need for a team work and has directed the officers to have transparency in the system, corruption free environment and ensure targeted approach to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society.
