| Kargil Gears Up for Ladakh LG Vinai Kumar Saxena’s Maiden Visit | | DC Reviews Multi-Department Preparations | Kargil, April 09 (Scoop News)-In view of the upcoming visit of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena to Kargil, a meeting to review and finalize necessary arrangements was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Sh. Rakesh Kumar, IAS, at his office chamber.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding preparedness and coordination among various departments to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the visit. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed arrangements related to security, transportation, accommodation, health services, and overall logistics.
With regard to VIP movement, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Senior Superintendent of Police and Traffic authorities to ensure smooth and hassle-free movement throughout the visit. They were instructed to prepare a comprehensive plan and maintain close coordination from the point of arrival till the successful culmination of all programmes. It was informed that the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor will be accorded a formal welcome at Dah Bridge.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that all events scheduled on 11th, 12th, and 13th April shall be conducted in a proper sequence, ensuring systematic execution of programmes.
The Cultural Department was directed to efficiently manage all aspects related to reception, anchoring, and cultural programmes. Special emphasis was laid on showcasing local traditions, including the use of traditional khataks and ethnic attire, to reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed all concerned departments to ensure smooth arrangements at the designated residence and maintain high standards of coordination and hospitality throughout the visit.
With regard to media and publicity, the Information Department was instructed to ensure proper arrangements including PA systems, drone coverage, and comprehensive media coverage across all programmes. The department was further directed to ensure smooth handling of public interactions and media interactions during the visit.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, ACR; Dy. SP, Kargil; Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B); Chief Controller Finance; Chief Planning Officer; Chief Medical Officer; Divisional Forest Officer; Deputy Superintendents of Police (DAR and Traffic); Executive Engineers of R&B-II, PHE, and Mechanical; Deputy Secretary, LAACL; Executive Officer, Municipal Committee; AD Tourism; ARTO Kargil, representatives of Information, PHE Division, Wildlife, among others.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of effective coordination, timely execution, and proactive approach by all departments to ensure the visit is conducted smoothly and successfully.
