INDI alliance on Women’s Reservation: Ashok Koul

Jammu, April 18 (Scoop News)-Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State General Secretary (Organization), Ashok Koul, chaired a crucial organizational meeting at the party headquarters in Jammu to deliberate on the upcoming “Mahila Akrosh Padyatra” programme.

J&K BJP Vice-Presidents Priya Sethi, and Rajeev Charak, General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, and Gopal Mahajan, District Presidents Adv. Rajesh Gupta, and Naresh Singh Jasrotia, MLAs Yudhvir Sethi, Ch. Vikram Randhawa and Arvind Gupta, Secretary Pawan Sharma, Mahila Morcha President Adv. Neha Mahajan, and other senior leaders were present in the meeting.

Ashok Koul strongly criticized the INDI alliance led by Congress, stressing that it has consistently acted against the interests of women. He pointed out that the opposition’s stance on the Women’s Reservation Bill reflects their lack of genuine commitment toward empowering women politically. Referring to statements made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he said that while Congress claims to have defeated the Modi Government, in reality, their actions have defeated the aspirations of women of our nation by obstructing progressive legislation.

Ashok Koul said that to expose the Congress and INDI alliance, BJP will hold mass awareness programmes and conduct “Mahila Akrosh Padyatra”. He said that these will be aimed at highlighting issues related to women’s rights and exposing the double stand of opposition parties on women empowerment. He stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party remains fully committed to ensuring dignity, representation, and empowerment of women across the country.

“The BJP will take this message to every corner of society through the Mahila Akrosh Padyatra. Our activists will expose the anti-women mindset and black deeds of Congress and its allies. The people, especially women, will not forgive those who tried to delay their rightful representation,” Ashok Koul asserted.

Senior leaders, also shared their views on these programmes, which focused on detailed strategic planning, effective coordination, and strengthening grassroots outreach to ensure the success of the initiative. It was also stressed that the party cadre will take this campaign to the ground level to expose the doble standards of Congress and INDI alliance.
