NZATI, RIHFW organise training session on BLS for JKAS Probationers

Jammu, April 21 (Scoop News)-Northern Zonal Accountancy Training Institute (NZATI), Jammu in collaboration with Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare (RIHFW), Nagrota organized a training session on Basic Life Support (BLS) for JKAS (Accounts) probationers of Phase–II training programme (SAC–II).

The programme was presided over by Director General Accounts & Treasuries, Fayaz Ahmad Lone and conducted under the able guidance of Director Finance/ Principal, NZATI, Jammu, Rajesh Talwar.

Among others Principal, Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Manoj Bhagat; Master Trainer, Dr. Shelly Mahajan; Dr. Kapil Sharma (Public Health), In-charge Skill Lab Coordinator at RIHFW Nagrota, Rajeev Gupta; Director, Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu, Rajesh Kotwal and Joint Director (Central), Directorate General of Accounts & Treasuries, J&K, Ishfaq Ahmad Pandith were also present.

Addressing the gathering, Fayaz Ahmad Lone emphasized the importance of such capacity-building initiatives, stating that officers must be equipped not only with domain knowledge but also with essential emergency response skills.

The session was organized with the objective to equip the probationers with essential life-saving skills and enhancing their preparedness to respond effectively in emergency situations. The technical and practical sessions were conducted by Dr. Shelly Mahajan, Dr. Kapil Sharma and Rajeev Gupta.

The team provided hands-on practice sessions wherein participants performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and airway management techniques for both adult and neo-natal resuscitation under Basic Life Support protocols, aimed at saving lives during emergency situations. They emphasized on the importance of such training programmes in building first-response capabilities among officers.

The training was delivered through a simulation-based and interactive approach, enabling participants to gain practical exposure and confidence in handling real-life emergencies.

The session witnessed active participation and was highly appreciated by the probationers for its practical relevance and importance.
