Interfaith Leaders Unite at Sacred Relic Exposition in Leh
Call for Global Peace and Harmony

Leh, May 08(Scoop News)-In a powerful display of interfaith unity and spiritual harmony, prominent religious leaders from across India gathered this morning at Jivetsal, Leh, to pay homage to the Sacred Relics of Lord Buddha and collectively call for peace in a world increasingly affected by conflict and division. Standing together before the Holy Relics, the religious dignitaries raised the message, “Buddh chahiye, yuddh nahi,” emphasising compassion, coexistence and non-violence as the path forward for humanity.

The delegation was led by Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder and Spiritual Director of the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), Leh, who welcomed the spiritual leaders participating in the Interfaith Conference being organised as part of the Sacred Grand Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathāgat Buddha.

The religious leaders who sought blessings from the Sacred Relics included H.H. Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni, Founder President of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and World Peace Centre, New Delhi; H.H. Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj, Convenor of the Bhartiya Sarv Dharm Sansad; Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam of the All India Imam Organisation; Sardar Paramjeet Singh Chandok, Chief Advisor of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Committee; Dr. A.K. Merchant, General Secretary of the Temple of Understanding India Foundation and Secretary of the Bahá'í Spiritual Assembly of Delhi NCT; and Rajyogini Dr. Binny Sareen of the Brahma Kumaris.

During the visit, the leaders offered prayers for universal brotherhood, communal harmony and lasting peace across nations.

The Interfaith Conference has been jointly organised by the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre and the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh as part of the ongoing Sacred Relic Exposition, which continues to draw thousands of devotees and visitors from different communities and regions.
