Police disengages SPO for involvement in NDPS case in Baramulla

Srinagar, June 10 (Scoop News)-Police in Baramulla have disengaged SPO Khalid Nazir Khan (3098/SPO), resident of Katipora, Tangmarg, with immediate effect following his involvement in an NDPS case.

On 23/04/2026, during a naka checking at Wussan Crossing by Police Station Kunzer, an Alto vehicle was intercepted. The occupants, including the said SPO, were found in a suspicious condition. During checking, syringes and needles were recovered from their possession, while silver foil paper used for the consumption of narcotic substances was recovered from the vehicle.

Accordingly, FIR No. 46/2026 was registered at Police Station Kunzer. In view of the serious involvement and conduct unbecoming of a member of a disciplined force, the SPO has been disengaged from service with immediate effect.

J&K Police follows a zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse and misconduct and remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and accountability within its ranks.
