| DC Zanskar Visits Penzila Top region and newly added Rangdum villlage | | Zanskar, June 20 (Scoop News)-Deputy Commissioner Zanskar, Omkar Rajendra Gundage, visited Rangdum and Abran villages to take stock of various public issues and developmental requirements. He was accompanied by the Tehsildar Mohd Hassan, Executive Engineers of R&B and PHE, the Livestock Development Officer (LDO), BDO Karsha, & Tehsildar Tia Suru and other concerned officials.
During the visit, the DC held interactions with local residents and listened to their concerns regarding drinking water supply, irrigation facilities, animal husbandry, healthcare, education, road connectivity, and other essential services. He directed the concerned departments to take necessary measures for the timely resolution of genuine issues raised by the villagers.
The DC also inspected the Panzila Top area and issued directions to the BDO and line departments to ensure better coordination and implementation of development works.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Omkar Rajendra Gundage said that the administration is committed to taking governance to the doorstep of the people and ensuring that the concerns of residents in remote areas are addressed effectively. He emphasized that regular field visits help the administration understand ground realities and enable departments to respond promptly to public needs.
He further stated that the development of remote villages such as Rangdum and Abran remains a priority and assured the residents that all genuine demands would be examined and taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action.
Notably, this was the first official visit of a Deputy Commissioner to Rangdum after Zanskar attained district status, marking a significant step towards strengthening administrative outreach and public service delivery in the region. ... |
