DC Kargil Flags Off Mobile Medical Care Unit for District Hospital Donated by HDFC Bank


Kargil, July 17 (Scoop News)- HDFC Bank has launched a Mobile Medical Care Unit (MCU) in Kargil district of Ladakh as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The unit is staffed by a team of five, including a doctor, nurses, a driver (pilot), and a project manager.

The MCU is expected to provide medical assistance across 12 villages in the district, improving access to essential healthcare services in remote areas.

The newly launched Movable Medical Care Unit was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Shri Rakesh Kumar, in the presence of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ghulam Mohammad, HDFC Bank Branch Head Inam Nazir, Cluster Head Abhishek Khajuria, officials of the Health Department, representatives of HDFC Bank and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated HDFC Bank for its CSR initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare services in the district. He said that the Movable Medical Care Unit would enhance emergency response and improve access to quality healthcare, particularly for people residing in remote villages.
