at Ladakh Festival 2026

Leh, September 29 (Scoop News)-: As part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, a three-day intensive TB screening initiative was conducted at the Main Market, Leh, during the Ladakh Festival 2026, bringing advanced TB screening services closer to the community and festival visitors.

A key highlight of the initiative was the use of AI-based Chest X-ray technology for rapid screening and identification of individuals with symptoms or radiological findings suggestive of Tuberculosis. During the three-day campaign, 347 individuals underwent Chest X-ray screening, while 37 individuals were tested through CBNAAT as part of the TB diagnostic process.

The initiative focused on early detection, timely diagnosis and prompt linkage to treatment, in line with the objectives of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and the national efforts towards TB elimination.

Alongside TB screening, the medical stall also provided 156 Sowa-Rigpa OPD consultations and NCD screening and OPD services to 230 individuals, offering a range of preventive and primary healthcare services at a convenient public location.

The campaign highlighted the importance of active TB screening and community participation in identifying TB early and ensuring timely access to diagnosis and treatment.
