| Chief Secretary Ashish Kundra Reviews Readiness of New KBR Airport Terminal | | Ahead of Inauguration |
Leh, September 30 (Scoop News)-Chief Secretary, Union Territory of Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, today visited the new terminal building of Kushok Bakula Rinpoche (KBR) Airport, Leh, to review its readiness and facilities ahead of its forthcoming inauguration.
During the visit, the Chief Secretary undertook a detailed inspection of various sections of the new terminal building and took stock of the facilities and infrastructure developed for passengers and airport operations. He enquired about passenger amenities, heating, parking and other essential services being provided at the terminal.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the overall preparedness of the new terminal building for its forthcoming inauguration and sought details from the concerned officials regarding the readiness of various facilities and operational arrangements.
He directed the concerned officials to ensure that all essential facilities are fully functional and that necessary arrangements are completed well in advance of the inauguration, with particular emphasis on passenger convenience and smooth airport operations.
The Chief Secretary was accompanied by Secretary Civil Aviation Ministry, Government of India, Samir Kumar Sinha, Member (Planning), Airports Authority of India, Anil Gupta; Administrative Secretary, Civil Aviation Department,Nidhi Malik; Executive Director (Planning) (AAI),Nandita Bhat, Executive Director (Engineering)NR (AAI), JT Radhakrishna and other senior officials from the concerned departments and agencies.
