Urdu Poet & Critic Dr. Fareed Parbati passes away | | Srinagar, December 14 (Scoop News) – Renowned Urdu Poet and Critic of Jammu and Kashmir State Dr. Fareed Parbati passed away today at Srinagar. He was 50 . He was working as Associate Professor in Iqbal Institute , University of Kashmir. According to family sources he was ill and operated in All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi a few days back.
Dr. Freed was the author of 14 books including eight poetic collections and six books on Urdu criticism . He had done a pioneering work on “Urdu Rubiyat”. And was awarded by a number of Institution including Academy of Art, Culture and Language. Dr. Parbati was a very energetic and vibrant literary personality of the state.
In a joint statement Cultural Academy Officers expressed deep shock over the untimely death of Dr. Pabati. Those who condoled the sad demise includes Shamima Janbaz Additional , Haroon Rashid additional Secretaries , Dr. Javaid Rahi Chief Editor/Gojri , Ashraf Tak Chief Editor Urdu , M. Manshah Khaki Editor –cum- Cultural Officer Gojri , Pahari, Farooq Anwar ,Chief Editor , Zaffar Muzaffar ,Chief Editor Kashmiri, Abid Ahmed Editor English. Adbee Markaz Kamraz (AMK) condoles the sad demise of noted Urdu poet Dr Fareed Parbati who breathed his last today. AMK pays tributes to the poet who served the society through his literary works. Late Dr Parbati’s noteworthy contributions to Urdu language and literature will always be remembered. Expressing heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family, AMK President Dr Aziz Hajni said the late poet always supported AMK in its endeavours for promotion of Kashmir language and literature in the State. AMK prays for peace to the departed soul.
