JK Minister assured full support of Govt to Kashmiri Pandits

Jammu,April 28 (Scoop News) -A Public meeting was organized by Northern Kashmir Migrant Cell of Kashmiri Pandits of National Conference at Anand Nagar Bohri,Jammu today.

JK Minister of state for R&B, Health, Medical Education, Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, Horticulture and Floriculture, Javid Ahmad Dar, MLC National Conference and Patron National Conference Minority Cell North Kashmir Unit, Vijay Bakaya, Other prominent Kashmiri Pandit leaders, Superintending Engineer, PWD, P.Bhushan were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Javid Ahmad Dar assured the Kashmiri Pandit community that the Government is fully aware of the problems being faced by the Community and the Government is keen in mitigating the sufferings of the people.

The minister asked the people to avail benefit from various development schemes being undertaken by the Coalition Government. He said that the Jammu and Kashmir State is 2nd state who has introduced Public Services Guarantee Act, Accountability Commission for the benefit of the public. The Minister said that Rs. 250 crore have been spent on projectization of R&B sector in the state during 2010-11 and Rs. 680 crores have been spent for the projectization of bridges during the same period. He said that the Government is always with them to resolve their problems on priority.

He appealed the community to strengthen the hands of coalition government. He said that our Government do not believe on empty slogans as we does things practically on ground level.

Dar said that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah the state have achieved tremendous progress.

MLC, Vijay Bakaya, while speaking on the occasion highlighted the problems being faced by the Kashmiri Pandit community. He asked the Community to strengthen the hands of government for better development. He cautioned the community to refrain from anti National and anti social elements who are bent upon to destabilize our communal brotherhood..
Som Nath Coordinator North Kashmir presented the memorandum highlighting the various problems and demands of the area.
Responding to the demands, the minister assured full support from the coalition government in mitigating their problems.
