1 Dies, 8 injured in road mishaps
2 Bodies recovered in Kupwara
Srinagar,July 09 (Scoop News) -A lady died while eight other persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK02AB/8431 hit and injured a pedestrian lady Mst. Jana, age 60 years, wife of Mohammad Ismail Shaksaz resident of Pooli Dooru at Bongund, Anantnag, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Dooru. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag where she succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident an unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Yaqoob Gilkar, age 65 years, son of Mohammad Sadiq resident of Mehman Mohalla, Dangerpora near Shrine Reshi Sahib, Anantnag, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Anantnag. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, an unknown vehicle hit and injured a girl Uzma Jan, age 10 years daughter of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Manzgam at Rambhama, Kulgam, falling under the jurisdiction of police station D.H Pora. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kulgam for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, today a Winger bearing registration number JK01Q/3517 hit a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK04A/6255 near Makai Point, Srinagar, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Nishat, resulting in injuries to five passengers boarded in Tata Sumo. The injured were hospitalized. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Tipper bearing registration number JK01L/7872 hit a Alto vehicle bearing registration number JK01R/2545 on National Highway Lalad, Sopore, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Tarzoo, resulting in injuries to Alto driver Fazli Ahmad Peer son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Drugmulla Kupwara. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.


2 Bodies recovered in Kupwara
Bodies of two Armymen were recovered from Keran who were buried in a snow avalanche in Keran Sector in January this year.
Kupwara police were informed about two more dead bodies of spy Ajay Kumar No. 4281539K and Lalit Mohan Singh No. 4282563M of 1st Bihar Unit Kilooan Naar near F.D.L Gujjar Doora, Kupwara, who had come under a snow avalanche on 24th January 2012 have been recovered. The bodies have been brought to Sub District Hospital, Kralpora for legal formalities.

House, Shop damaged in fire
Due to electric short circuit, during the intervening night of 07/08.07.2012, fire broke out in the residential house of Ghulam Mustafa son of Abdullah Joo resident of Gundishat, resulting in complete damage to the house. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.
In another incident, during the intervening night of 08/09.07.2012, fire broke out at Sogam Market, Kupwara, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Sogam, resulting in damage to the shops of Ghulam Mohammad Mir and Abdul Ahad Mir sons of Khair Mir resident of Mir Mohalla Sogam.

Lady attempts self immolation
Srinagar, July 09: A lady age 24 years (name with held) resident of Wani Naid Mohalla, Lalpora, Baramulla, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kunzer set herself ablaze at his home. The lady has been shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
