| Bashir Malik promoted,Posted as DDG News | |  Srinagar, September 1 (Scoop News) - B. A. Malik has been promoted to the rank of DDG (News) and the orders in this connection have been issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on 27.8.2012.
Mr. Malik will continue to head the Radio and Doordarshan (News).
A renowned writer, poet and journalist Mr. Malik has been awarded many times by Doordarshan for his outstanding work. He has also been selected for last year’s media personality award by State Government.
It is due to his outstanding work that he has toured many countries with Prime Minister and President of India. He has authored six books in Urdu, Kashmiri and Hindi.
