| Sweepers of SMC not paid properly | |
Srinagar, September 10 (Scoop News)- As the sweepers of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation are on strike, and from their published note on one of the News papers of Kashmir Division, Dated 1oth September 2012, it is evident that they are not
properly paid by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation. As The total number of the sweeper in the Srinagar Municipal Limits are 1360 ( regular safai-wallas/mashkies) & 1363 ( consolidated/ casual / safaiwallas) in accordance to the RTI filled by ER.Mirza Mohammad Idrees Ul Haq Beigh ( ref no: smc/gen/86 dated 24/04/2012 ) the Srinagar municipal corporation claims to pay Rs 2,17,13502 to regular safaiwallas/mashkies and RS 53,65950 to consolidated/ casual/ safai-wallas for sanitation purpose which is in contrary to the published statement of Municipal Employees Coordination Committee.
A meeting over this issue was organized in the office premises of SRVES NGO today under the chairmanship of ER. Mirza Mohammad Idrees ul
haq beigh (C.E.O SRVESNGO), the volunteers of SRVES NGO demanded the quick response from the present government on this issue.
