| BJP Leh for granting UT status to Ladakh | | 
Leh, September 15 (Scoop News)- BJP Ladakh unit President Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo today said that Like Jammu, Ladakh too has been subjected to discrimination and the long pending demand of granting Union Territory status to Ladakh is the only solution to end this discrimination.
Dr. Sonam was addressing in a BJP’s Pravesh Prashikshan Varg/ Training Camps being organised at district levels, 3-day such varg is going on in Shaynam Community Hall, Leh, which is being attended by a total of 60 leaders comprising of State Office Bearers, District and Mandal Presidents besides four former Councillors.
BJP State General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, State Secretary & Prashikshan Incharge Yudvir Sethi, BJP Ladakh unit President Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo and former Chief Executive Councillor Tsering Dorjey (Ex-MLA) addressed different sessions of the varg on first day.
Ashok Koul, delivered on subjects like “Sangathan” and “Sanskritik Rashtravaad”. He said that the real strength of any organisation is its committed cadre and the BJP can claim of having the most disciplined, dedicated cadre. He said that a well knit sangathan serves the strong base for flourishing of its ideology. He said that the “cultural nationalism”, which is getting eroded due to attack from and adoption of western culture, should be preserved for the coming generations. We all should take pledge to preserve our rich culture and put more efforts in inducing sense of nationalism in the young minds of our children.
Yudhvir Sethi spoke on importance of “Speech” and motive behind organising “Prashikshan Varg”. He said that speech has a very important role in public, particularly when we are in political line where the right mode of speech can make people understand what we have to explain them. He said that organising prashikshan varg at regular intervals has become all the more necessary as our organisation is growing fast and our activists at the grassroots level need to be educated about the party’s ideology and agenda.
Tsering Dorjey said that Article 370 is the root cause of all the problems in our state. The incorporation of this status in Indian Constitution was a big blunder. It has only harmed the state and nation’s interests in J&K and hence sooner it goes, better it would be for the state.
