Bhim appeals youth to join Bharat Bandh against diesel prices, FDI
Jammu, September 17 (Scoop News)- National Panthers Party (NPP) gave a call to the working class, youth and students in particular to observe Bharat Bandh in every corner of the country against the draconian price hike in diesel, LPG and inclusion of FDI in retail.

In a statement said that an emergency meeting of National Working Committee of NPP was held in New Delhi today under the chairmanship of Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, NPP to work out a line of action to oppose authoritarian, anti-people and discriminatory acts of the Central and State governments, may it be arbitrary price hike in diesel, crude oil, LPG or may it be inclusion of FDI in retail.
Chairman, Prof. Bhim Singh expressed shock on the wisdom and sincerity of the national leadership which is allowing the multinationals and foreign trade agencies to take over the economy of the country from the street vendors, rehriwalas to the dhabas and tea-stalls even. NPP Supremo said that prices in diesel and crude oil are being increased only to the benefit of the oil companies to share the loot of public money with the politicians in power which is not acceptable by the people of this country.
NPP Chief asked government to reduce the excise duty by 50% so that the ‘wretched of the earth’ are not squeezed to their bottoms and the multinationals and the oil companies no longer ‘suck their blood’.
NPP has directed all its units in J&K, HP, Punjab, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar, West Bengal etc. to show their ‘tough presence’ in representing the voice of the millions against this highly authoritarian and undemocratic act of the Central and State governments.
The Delhi Pradesh National Panthers Party also demonstrated at Jantar Mantar to express their solidarity with the people of this country.
The important participants in the meeting included B.S. Sajan, President-DPNPP, Rajiv Khosla, General Secretary-DPNPP and Anil Sharma, General Secretary, Rajasthan Pradesh, S. Bhatia, President, Telangana, Shri Jabbar Singh, General Secretary, Haryana, Khan Babur Jamshed, President, U.P., Chander Mohan, General Secretary, U.P., P. Ambethkar, President, Tamilnadu, A.K. Chawla, President, Maharashtra.
