8 Die, 11 Injured in road mishaps in Kashmir | | Srinagar, September 24 (Scoop News) - Eight persons died while eleven others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
Police said that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01P/8632 skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge at Cobra Nallah, Toll Post, Kupwara in the jurisdiction of police Station Tangdar while on way from Tangdar to Jabdi, resulting in death of eight passengers and injuries to nine passengers travelling in the Sumo. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Tata 207 vehicle bearing registration number JK01M/8446 hit and injured 75 years old Mst Hajra wife of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Najar resident of Ashmuqam Anantnag at Lazbal, Anantnag, in the jurisdiction of police Station Sher Bagh. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, motorcyclist Bashir Ahmad Wagay, age 50 years, son of Abdul Gani resident of Gasrena got injured when he lost control over his motorcycle and skidded on the road at Arigantnoo, Kulgam in the jurisdiction of police station, Devsar. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard. ... |
