| Jammu University Felicitates Sachin Pilot | | Sachin Pilot appreciates JU’s March towards Excellence |  Jammu, October 25(Scoop News)- Sachin Pilot, Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology have appreciated the new academic programmes and initiatives undertaken by the University of Jammu in the recent past.
Speaking at the formal interaction with the senior Deans and officials of the Jammu University, the Minister pledged full support of his ministry to the various forthcoming projects especially the proposed Media Centre and hostel for girls of far-flung areas. Earlier on his arrival, the Union Minister and Member of Parliament Madan Lal Sharma were welcomed by Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor and Prof Naresh Padha, Registrar. Prof Ishar later in a powerpoint presentation briefed the Minister in detail about the various achievements of the University and the developmental works being undertaken on its main Campus as well as the offsite Campuses.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh Pilot reiterated Government of India’s continued support to the institutions of higher learning. He assured of his personal intervention in clearing the bottle necks for smooth progression in different new JU projects. He also promised to take up the University matter with the State Government as well as with Sh Kapil Sibal, Minister of Human Resource Development and Minister of Communications and Information Technology. He further said he was very happy to be in Jammu University and thanked Prof Ishar for all the honour bestowed upon him. He thanked the Vice-Chancellor for all the help being extended by the University to the NIELIT Centre which is one of his Ministries initiatives being run in the Campus .T

Prominent among others who graced the occasion were Prof Rekha Chaudhary, Prof Neelam Saraf, Dean Academic Affairs,Prof Manoj Dhar, Controller of Examinations, Dr.Ashwani kumar Sharma, CEO/ MD NIELIT,New Delhi,J&K PYC President Shahnawaz Chaudhary, A .H MOON, Director, NIELIT, J&K, and senior Faculty members and officials of Jammu University.
