Bhim Singh announces Harsh Dev Singh as his successor

Jammu, October 27(Scoop News)- Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party declared Harsh Dev Singh as his successor, as Chairman of JKNPP with immediate effect. He declared that the delegate session of the party shall ratify the same on the party’s foundation day, 23rd March, 2013. Prof. Bhim Singh has been Founder Chairman of the party right since its foundation on March 23, 1982. Prof. Bhim Singh said that new leadership in the party is perfectly capable and fit to lead the party with its immediate agenda to reorganize J&K State with delivery of justice and equity to all.

Earlier Panthers Party held massive celebration of 65th Anniversary of J&K Accession of Union of Inida on 27th October, 2012 in Udhampur, J&K.
The function was presided over by Udhampur MLA and State President-JKNPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia. The grand celebration was attended several senior Panthers Party leaders including MLA Yashpaul Kundal, Ex-MLA, Faqir Nath, General Secretary Ms. Anita Thakur, Jagdev Singh, Coordination Secretary including District Presidents, hundreds of Sarpanches and Panches.


The Panthers Party in a resolution demanded apology from the Indian National Congress for humiliating, insulting and demonizing Maharaja Hari Singh who signed the Instrument of Accession on 26 th October, 1947.

Party said that the Accession was accepted by Lord Mountbatten on 27th October, 1947. The Panthers Party also demanded apology from the leadership of National Conference and Congress for launching ‘Quit Kashmir’ movement against Dogras who were integral part of J&K. The Panthers Party resolution demanded amendment in Article 370 to empower Parliament to legislate in respect of J&K particularly in relation to the subjects listed in the Central List including Defence, Foreign Affairs, Communications etc.

The Panthers Party declared that a Rashtriya Chetna Abhiyan shall be launched from December, 2012 with an awakening call about the urgency to integrate J&K with the rest of the country. The resolution also demanded inclusion of fundamental rights in J&K Constitution and incorporates words, ‘socialism’ and ‘secularism’ in the preamble of J&K Constitution.
All the legislators and the members of the Secretariat addressed the grand celebration. Surender Bhatia, President, Telangana Pradesh Panthers Party was present as a Special Guest.
