Leh (Ladakh) Breaks the Guinness World record of Philippine | | Leh, Ladakh,(Scoop News)- 9814 persons of Live to Love Organization at Tunkey-Lato (Changa) 35 kilometers east of Leh,Ladakh,planted 99,013 trees in 53 minutes breaking the Guinness World Record for “ most trees planted simultaneously” set in Philippine with 64,091 trees in one hour.
On this occasion, the Chairman, Live to Love Organization, Gyalwang Drukpa highlighting the importance of planting trees for safeguarding the nature and environment for all sentience beings said that it is not merely an attempt to break some one’s record but this important drive is just aimed at benefit for the world as a whole.
He urged the people to plant trees as much as possible other areas of Ladakh in order to contribute for protection of environment and ecology in the wake of growing threats of global warming.
The Chief Executive Councilor, Rigzin Spalbar, Executive Councilor Health Dr. Sonam Wangchuk, Executive Councilor Tourism Gyurmet Dorjey, Executive Councilor Agriculture, Sonam Dorjey, Deputy Commissioner, Leh Tsering Angchok, Superintendent of Police Leh Vivek Gupta also present on the occasion and they praised the concerns and initiatives of Gyalwang Drukpa for his great contribution.
