| Tourist dies in Srinagar,8 injured in road mishaps | | Srinagar, October 30 (Scoop News) - Tourist of Calcutta dies in hotel in Srinagar ,Kashmir. Police said that A 55 year old tourist Yoginder Nath Halidar old son of late Jamni Kant resident of Jabalpur, Calcutta who was putting up in hotel Mughal place at Barbar Shah Srinagar complained of chest pain in his room. He was shifted to SMHS Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
After all medico- legal formalities, the body of deceased was handed over to his next of kins for last rites. Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in Police Station Kral Khud, Srinagar in this regard.
Eight persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
A LP passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK01K/6016 hit a motorcycle bearing registration numberJK05A/4101 at Mujgund Chowk, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Parimpora, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Nisar Ahmad Rather age 25 years son of Ghulam Mohammad and a pillion Mukhtar Ahmad age 20 years son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Dangerpora, Sumbal. Both the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Parimpora Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Tractor without registration number on way from Shalihar to Batpora turned turtle near Batpora in the jurisdiction of police post Shadipora, resulting in injuries to Fayaz Ahmed Teeli son of Abdul Salam Teeli, Zahoor Ahmad Kumar son of Habibullah and Zahid Ahmad Ganie son of Ali Mohammad Gani resident of Batpora. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Shadipora Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Tata 407 bearing registration number JK015/0243 hit and injured a 15 years old boy Momin Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Hamid resident of Paribal, Bandipora, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bandipora, resulting in his critical injuries. The injured was shifted to Srinagar Hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01D/5213 hit and injured a pedestrian Saleema age 45 years wife of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat resident of Fatapora at Khajabagh, Baramulla, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Baramulla. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In similar accident, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01C/8784 hit and injured 50 years old Abdul Satar Lone son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Sheriwani Colony Khawja Bagh, Baramulla at Khawja Bagh in the jurisdiction of police Station Baramulla. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Baramulla Police has registered a case in this regard.
