JK MOS Home hails BSF for securing country’s International Border
540 new recruits pass out from BSF STC
Srinagar, November 04 (Scoop News) - Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani, today credited the Defence Forces for maintaining internal security which has helped the country’s economic and social development.
The Minister said this during an impressive Passing-Out Parade of 540 BSF Constable Recruits at BSF STC, here today.
IG BSF, K. K. Sharma, Acting Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Mohammad Akbar Ganai, senior officers of BSF, CRPF, J&K Police and Civil Administration were present at the function.
Lauding the role of BSF on the law-and-order front as well as foiling repeated infiltration bids from across the border, the Minister said the country has been given an opportunity by its defence forces in undertaking its developmental agenda by effectively securing the country’s borders and nurturing peace. ”BSF has been one of our best combat forces and the wonderful passing-out parade today is an outcome of rigorous training undertaken at the Centre,” the Minister said addressing the Recruits, adding he was confident the nation’s boundaries were in safe hands.
Apart from guarding the International Border, the BSF has also been assisting the civil administration in maintaining law-and-order in the State.
While congratulating the newly-passed out recruits for becoming members of the elite force, the Minister said he was hopeful that they will disseminate their duties professionally in maintaining safety and security of the country.
Earlier, the Minister took salute at an attractive Passing-Out-cum-Oath taking ceremony. While distributing prizes amongst those recruits who had distinguished themselves during the training, the Minister also complimented the instructors for the high standards of perfection maintained during the training.
IG BSF, in his address, gave a brief outline of the multi-faceted role played by BSF as and when different tasks have been assigned to it. He also congratulated the recruits who had successfully completed their training at the STC today.
