| JK Government Promoted Iqbal Khanday as Financial Commissioner | |  Jammu, November 07(Scoop News) – The State Cabinet which met here under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today accorded sanction to the promotion of Mohammad Iqbal Khanday (IAS:78) Principal Secretary Finance to the fixed scale of IAS (Rs, 80,000) w.e.f 2010. Consequent upon his promotion Mohammad Iqbal Khanday has been designated as Financial Commissioner, Finance Department.
The Cabinet accorded administrative approval for the construction of alternate bridge (double lane) next to existing Abdullah Bridge in Rajouri at an estimated cost of Rs 20 Crore approved under Special Task Force Programme for Jammu Division.
Cabinet also accorded sanction to the creation of one post of Professor and one post of Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics in Government Dental College and Hospital Srinagar in the pay scale of Rs(37400-67000+8700) and Rs.(15600-39100+7600) respectively.
Meanwhile Jeet Lal Gupta Commissioner Secretary Social welfare has been given additional charge of Housing and Urban Development Department till Suresh Kumar Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department; currently abroad in connection with training resumes his duties.
