J&K Govt. Nods for Students’ Demands | | Srinagar, November 11 (Scoop News)- A delegation of all the Ladakhi students led by all the Presidents of Respective Student unions of Ladakh in Jammu call on to Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister for Consumer Affair and Public Distribution, Govt. Of J&K and expressed their basic problems due to migration and demanded for immediate reliefs. The student leaders highlighted some serious issues regarding the non-availability of cooking gas for the migrated students in Jammu, rising prices of the rental room unreasonably and expensive ration. After giving patience hear with profound attention, the Minister appreciated the unity of the Ladakhi students without considering the region and religion biases and advised them to stay and stand for everything jointly because we share same problems and solutions. The Minister also assured the student community that the problems of non-availability of LPG cylinder on subsidized rate for the students will be considered seriously for a permanent solution and for the time being he instructed the Deputy Director, CA&PD Jammu to look into the matter seriously and come out with alternative solutions. Akhoon also assured that the price of the rental room will be consider with Divisional Commissioner of Jammu within few days and sort it out as their best level and “the demand of ration on BPL rate for the migrated students is genuine” he quoted. Receiving very warm responses from the minister, all the delegated members thanked him for his grace.
