KPs said with Bala Sahib’s death the community has become an orphan
Panun Kashmir condoles sad demise of Bala Sahib
Jammu, November 18 (Scoop News) – The Kashmiri Pandit organizations and leaders condole the sad demise of Bala Sahib Thackery, the veteran Hindu leader. They said with his death the community has become an orphan.


It may mentioned here that the Shiv Sena Supremo Balasaheb Keshav Thackeray died on 17 November 2012 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife Mina and two sons Jaidev Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray- who serves as the executive President of the Party, Shiv Sena. He died of the cardie-respiratory arrest after suffering a long illness at his residence Matoshree, in Mumbai.

The Kashmiri Pandit organizations and leaders who mourned the demise of Balasahib Thakeray included, ASKPC chief, H L Chatta, PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar, KP Sabha chief, K K Khosa, KPC president, Kundan Kashmiri, PK president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, JKVM senior vice president, Dr R L Bhat, its secretary HL Bhat, PK leader Ramesh Manwati, RIK convener, Veer Saraf, AIKS chief, Moti Kaul, KSD president, Rakesh Kaul, PK president V K Bhat, ASKPC senior vice president R K Raina, PK general secretary Kuldeep Raina, AMCCC chairman Desh Rattan, BJP Migrant Cell president, B B Gosani, social activist, Adarsh Ajit and many others.

Meanwhile Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman Panun Kashmir condoles the sad demise of Bala Sahib Thackery, the veteran Hindu leader who over the last few decades had become an icon of Hindu assertion and resurgence. He said,it was his unflinching commitment to the Nationalist cause and fatherly concern for the children of the exiled Kashmiri Hindus that opened the gates of professional institutions in Maharashtra in 1990's and created a special category for their admission. The practice continues till date.

In a statement Dr. Ajay said that Bala Sahib Thackery was a multifaceted personality who effectively made a difference in the Indian politics. He wholeheartedly supported the idea of creating the Union Territory of Panun Kashmir in Jammu and Kashmir as a solution to Kashmir problem and for mitigating the suffering of the exiled Kashmiri Hindus.

He said that Panun Kashmir prays for the eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the Thackery family, Shiv Saniks and the Nationalist forces to bear the loss and carry far ward his legacy.
