Army comes to the rescue of accident victims at Mahore
Deceased have been identified
Jammu, December 18 (Scoop News) –The Rashtriya Rifle Battalion came to the rescue of accident victims at Malai Mahore, District Reasi, today. A ill-fated Civil Tempo Traveler bearing No JK-14A-8871 which was moving from Angrala to Reasi, met with an tragic accident, when the driver lost control over the vehicle due to failure of brake.

Army and civil officials immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the injured. The civil administration and Commanding Officer of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Sarh organised evacuation from Mahore Helipad to GMC Hospital, Jammu. Four peoples, who were seriously injured in the accident, were evacuated to Jammu by an Air Force Helicopter from Mahore.

The injured have been identified as Nazir Ahmed son of Abdul Gani resident of Arnas, Sultan Ahmed son of Shri Hajjan resident of Arnas, Majeed Ahmed son of Basid Ahmed resident of Sitapur and Gulam Rasid son of Mohd Ibraheem resident of Malas.

In the accident, ten persons have died. The deceased persons have been identified as Mohd Afzal son of Gulam Kadeer resident of Tuksan, Chand Hussain son of Nazir Hussain resident of Jamlan, Chain Singh son of Baldev Singh resident of Batoi, Nazir Ahmed son of Guloo resident of Jamlan, Abdul Rasid resident of Poonch, Guloo son of Fazal resident of Batoi, Sabeer Ahmed son of Nazeer Ahmed resident of Sabrat, Nizam Ahmed son of Mohd Hussain resident of Sabrat, Abdul Rasid son of Gulam Kadeer resident of Badar and one Army personal Sepoy Fernal Singh of Territorial Army located at Palma, resident of Sarh.

Thakur Sher Singh, SDM Mahore, Mushim Ahmed, SDPO Mahore and Commanding Officer of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion located at Sarh were present at the site to oversee the rescue operation. The troops of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion located at Sarh played active role in evacuating the injured to Jammu by Air Force Helicopter. Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Higher Education will be landing at Mahore and will pay condolence to the grieved families.
